Traces of a Presence (The Metronome)
Single Channel Projected Video and Metronome
2007

In this video installation, a human form made of chalk is slowly erased by the wind. As the video concludes, only faint traces of the original form remain. When installed, the projected video is accompanied by a metronome placed on the floor. The piece is a metaphor for human mortality and the effects of time on the body.
