Narrow Channel: An Acoustic Presentation of San Diego Bay
An installation at UC San Diego’s Revelle Plaza featuring simultaneous playback of underwater field recordings from different locations around San Diego bay, highlighting the differences in biologic and anthropogenic sounds as well as the change in sonic characteristics throughout a 24 hour cycle.

SOUND MAPPING EXERCISE
An exercise in active and focused listening. Students create a sonic map of the surrounding environment that visually maps out sound sources, the direction, and energy level. Additional details such as location, date, time, and weather are also included.
